What is a Will?

A will or testament is a legal declaration by which a person, the testator, names one or more persons to manage his or her estate and provides for the distribution of his or her property at death.

The possessions – material or not, that we acquire through life are precious, and should therefore be guarded. This is what Wills can do, as it has the ability to dictate what happens to one’s material possessions at death.

Why are Wills important?

  • Prevents intestate distribution
  • Fairer distribution of assets
  • Reduce family conflict
Moreover, a Will is a legal document that will not be disputed following the death of the individual.

However, the importance of Wills is often understated because of the busy lifestyles that many lead these days. Thankfully, with the changing times, online wills are not available and are equally credited. Online wills will be written in plain language and signed off by a lawyer, ensuring the validity of the document.

It is best to obtain legal advice and get a simple will written out. Here at Gloria-James Civetta & Co., we provide cheap and easy wills writing services as well.
